Annual Financial Reports
The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Village of Oswego for its AFR for the most current fiscal year. State law requires that local governments undergo an annual audit of their financial statements by independent certified public financial accountants. The Finance Department invites you to examine the Village of Oswego’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (AFR).
Village of Oswego Receives COA Award for FY 2022 Audit
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the Village of Oswego by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United State and Canada (GFOA) for its fiscal year 2022 comprehensive annual financial report (AFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the government and its management.
The AFR is judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the AFR.
The Village has received this award for 20 consecutive years.
