Citizens At-Risk Registration
- Citizens At-Risk Registration
- The Citizens at Risk (C.A.R.) program is designed to allow residents who may be at a greater risk of becoming confused, lost, disoriented, or missing to be registered with the Oswego Police prior to an emergency. Free Waste/Brush/Leaf Collections
Free Yard Waste and Spring/Fall Collection
Free yard waste and spring cleanup: Week of April 8
Free yard waste and fall cleanup: Week of November 11
Stickers are not required for this collection but leaves and other plant material must be placed in 30-gallon Kraft bags. Examples of yard waste include grass clippings, leaves, branches, limbs, weeds, logs and garden plants. Do not leave piles on the parkway or in the street. Place the Kraft bags, along with your garbage and recycling, at the curb by 6 a.m. on your regularly scheduled collection day.
Groot will also pick up large items such as furniture, rugs and boxes of garbage. Appliances and electronics will not be collected.

Bonus FREE Yard Waste Collection, week of December 2
The Groot waste contract that was renewed in 2022 adds a free Yard Waste Collection the week of December 2.
