- The Citizens at Risk (C.A.R.) program is designed to allow residents who may be at a greater risk of becoming confused, lost, disoriented, or missing to be registered with the Oswego Police prior to an emergency. Bike Bald
Bike Bald is committed to enriching the lives of children affected by cancer and rare illnesses. Their unique organization operates as the local community center inviting the public to participate in the many programs we have to offer for children, adults, seniors & families. Bike Bald Group’s mission is to change the lives of children & the community thru raising awareness, collaboration, empowering, while focusing priority on education and the arts. Celebrate Differences
Celebrate Differences is a locally based non for profit organization committed to supporting individuals with disabilities in reaching their fullest potential by providing positive resources and information to families, communities and health care providers while promoting a competent level of awareness and understanding.
Our vision is to foster a community of acceptance which promotes the best opportunities for individuals with disabilities to exceed expectations and achieve their dreams. We accomplish this through raising awareness through community activities, providing scholarships to students with and without disabilities, providing educational seminars and providing SPARK or Special Parents Alliance for Resources and Knowledge for the parents in district 308 and beyond who has a child with special needs.
The American Legion
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation's largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. The Oswego American Legion Post #675 was chartered in 1933. The post has been at the present location, 19 W. Washington since 1947. It has expanded from the original two story house to include the banquet hall and downstairs bar/dining area. The post is also home to the Ladies Auxiliary Unit and the Sons of the American Legion Squadron. We charter two Boy Scout troops and participate in many scouting events and ceremonies. The post sponsors the annual Memorial Day parade, and also the Veterans Day ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Plaza. Our organization also participates in many of the Village of Oswego activities and events. Fox Valley United Way
Fox Valley United Way is an independent volunteer-based organization that serves Aurora, Big Rock, Bristol, Hinckley, Little Rock, Millbrook, Montgomery, North Aurora, Oswego, Plano, Sugar Grove and Yorkville in southern Kane and Kendall counties. Their mission is to measurably improve the lives of those in the communities it serves.
The Hilltop Gardeners
The Hilltop Gardeners was organized in February 1959 to promote beautification of the home and grounds in Boulder Hill. Since then we have expanded to include the Heritage Garden at the Little White School, the flower barrels at Hudson Crossing Park, the Oswego Public Library Campus, and the Oswego Post Office. We also tend the entrance garden berm at the intersection of Route 30 and Briar Cliff. In addition, we conduct an Annual Plant Sale the Saturday before Mother’s Day featuring flower baskets, vegetable starter plants, and perennials grown and donated by our members.
Throughout the year we have a variety of programs and activities with speakers from the surrounding area sharing their knowledge and expertise about gardening with us.
Whether you have a large or small garden, or want to plan a garden, you are welcome to join Hilltop Gardeners. Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Little White School Museum at Jackson and Polk Streets.
Social time- 9:00 a.m.; Meeting – 9:30 a.m.
Oswego Lions Club
The Oswego Lions Club is a local chapter of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest and most effective service group. The Oswego Lions Club is a volunteer community service group that has been active in Oswego since 1948. The Lions Club is dedicated to serving the deaf and blind in the community as well as running community clean up programs, youth service and support programs, feeding the hungry and much more! The Oswego Lions Club's motto is "We Serve" and it often said that where there's a need, there's a Lion! You can become part of the Oswego Lions Club by visiting their website or attending a meeting. The Oswego Lions Club meets at 6:30p on the third Tuesday of every month at the Mason's Lodge on Main Street in downtown Oswego.'
Oswego Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Oswego is Oswego's newest service club. Chartered in January of 2003, the club began helping the community immediately. Since then, the club has grown to over 40 members. We meet at 7:00am every Wednesday morning at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 2055 Wiesbrook Dr., Oswego, 630-844-4700.
Oswego Toastmasters
Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped millions of men and women become more confident in front of an audience. Their network of clubs and learn-by-doing program are sure to help you become a better speaker and leader.
Oswegoland Heritage Association
The Oswegoland Heritage Association was founded in 1976 to save and restore the Little White School Museum, and to open and maintain a community museum in the building. Restoration of the historic structure, built in 1850, was completed in 2002 and it now houses an extensive local history archive, along with a community museum that features permanent and seasonal exhibits telling the story of the area's history, and meeting space, all open to the public. The heritage association's board meets at the museum the last Thursday of each month. The group hosts its annual meeting on the last Thursday in May.
Oswegoland Woman’s Civic Club
Our Club’s purpose is to support community service and child welfare both financially and by volunteering in many areas. We support area children by sponsoring two annual scholarships for college freshmen, funding a Dental Program for a child that needs emergent care, funding an Art Appreciation Program for elementary schools. In the community we support Kendall County Food Pantry, Relay for Life, Mutual Ground, Birthday gifts for Tillers residents and many other projects.
Oswegoland Woman’s Civic Club offers something for everyone. Club members are mothers, homemakers, career women and senior citizens working together.
