- The Citizens at Risk (C.A.R.) program is designed to allow residents who may be at a greater risk of becoming confused, lost, disoriented, or missing to be registered with the Oswego Police prior to an emergency. Get electronics picked up from your home
The Village of Oswego’s waste hauler, Groot Industries, offers collection of some electronic waste directly from your home, often for no additional fee. Residents must call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a pickup and make arrangements. Accepted items include:
- Computers and monitors
- Video game consoles
- Electronic mice
- Printers
- Scanners
- Televisions
- Digital converter boxes
- Electronic keyboards
- Cable receivers
- Fax machines
- Satellite receivers
- VCRs
- Digital video disc players
- Portable digital music players

Please be aware that there may be a charge for televisions and for items requiring more than a single person to lift. This charge is determined by Groot Industries.
Chamber Monthly Electronics Drop-off
The Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce offers a fee-based electronics collection to the community at their offices, typically once a month on the last Thursday of the month. For upcoming dates and more information, visit the Chamber of Commerce calendar and get the list of accepted items and costs.
