Village Code: Alcoholic Beverages
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale at retail in the corporate limits of the village any alcoholic liquor without having a retailer's license issued by both the village and the state of Illinois.

All applications shall be accompanied by a two hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) nonrefundable application fee. The application fee shall include fingerprinting for the first person named in an application. All applicants, including individuals, partners or shareholders of corporations and members of LLCs shall submit fingerprints as a part of the application and shall pay a one hundred dollar ($100.00) fee for processing said fingerprints.
All licenses issued shall be from January 1 to December 31, and the per annum fee for all renewal licenses shall be paid by December 31 each year.
Every licensee shall cause his license or licenses to be framed and hung in plain view in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
All on-premises alcohol servers who sell, pour, mix, dispense, or serve alcoholic beverages, all owners, managers, or agents working on the premises and anyone whose job description entails the checking of identification for the purchasing or consuming of alcoholic beverages are required to obtain and complete BASSET (beverage alcohol sellers and servers education and training) training within one hundred twenty (120) days after the server begins employment.
It shall not be a violation for wait staff eighteen (18) to twenty (20) years of age to serve alcoholic beverages to customers, provided that said wait staff shall not draw, mix or pour alcoholic beverages.
All licensees may sell alcoholic beverages between the hours of:
- Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
- Friday and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.
- Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
- On the days before the holidays of: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.
Temporary License
The local liquor control commissioner shall have power to issue a temporary license for the sale of alcoholic beverages at special events. A temporary license shall be for a period of not more than 15 consecutive days, or 15 non-consecutive days if at the same location and same themed event. A fee of $75.00 will be assessed for each temporary license.
