Consolidated Election- April 1, 2025
In accordance with the provisions of Public Act 103-0586 (effective 5/3/24) and Public Act 103-0600 (effective 7/1/24), the candidate filing periods, and related dates for most offices, have been moved up by 28 days.
The Illinois State Board of Elections (SBOE) sets forth specific requirements for nomination petitions, signatures, required documents, methods of filing, dates of filing and other important issues. Each candidate is responsible to ensure that his/her petition, candidacy documents and filing requirements are legally sufficient. Village personnel cannot provide election advice to candidates about the election process without jeopardizing their independent role in the election process. A Candidate’s Guide can be downloaded from the Illinois State Board of Elections website at www.elections.il.gov. The petition form links, provided in the Candidate’s Guide, are intended to address candidates running for office. Please refer to the Candidate’s Guide for specific dates for circulating petitions, filing petitions, and other important information. Any questions concerning Nomination Petitions may be directed to the Illinois State Board of Elections.
