- The Citizens at Risk (C.A.R.) program is designed to allow residents who may be at a greater risk of becoming confused, lost, disoriented, or missing to be registered with the Oswego Police prior to an emergency. Farmers Markets
It shall be unlawful for any person or entity to operate a farmers market without first having obtained a special event permit. Each application should include a site plan designating the exact location of the farmers market on the site and the location of any garbage receptacles, washroom facilities, parking areas, and any permanent structures. Farmers markets may take place on a weekly basis for the period extending from April 1 to October 31, of the same calendar year. Uses permitted include:
Articles for human consumption including, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, edible grains, nuts, berries, apiary products, dairy products, eggs, cheese, meats, fish, poultry, baked goods, maple sugars, syrups and ciders
Articles not for human consumption including, but not limited to, cut fresh and dried flowers, potted flowers, potted plants, and animal food products
Services, artwork, and hand-crafted items, provided that vendors that offer these items and services do not make up more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the total vendors at the event
Prohibited uses include:
- Live animals
- Unwholesome or spoiled food
- Items prohibited by the Kendall County Health Department
