Real Time Flood Stage Information
River gauges on the Fox River at Montgomery and Waubonsee Creek in Oswego provide real-time information that will help you to determine actions to take in the event of a flood.
For Fox River data, go to the National Weather Service. It is important to note that this gauge is located in Montgomery. As a result, the river levels at Oswego will differ slightly. However, this guage still provides useful information that will enable proper preparation prior to a flood. The National Weather Service provides predictions as to how high the water will go based upon ground conditions, forecasted precipitation, river hydraulics, and hydrology.
For Waubonsee Creek, data can be found on the United States Geological Survey.
