Public Hearings and Current Projects
General Public Hearing Information
For certain types of proposed development within the Village of Oswego and the surrounding area, a public hearing is required. Any community member or other interested party is invited to provide comment on proposed projects. There are two options for providing comments:
- Attend the Public Hearing meeting and provide verbal comment.
- Provide written comment, which will become part of the public record and be provided to the commission or board holding the public hearing. Written comments can be emailed to planning@oswegoil.org or mailed to/dropped off at 100 Parkers Mill, Oswego, IL 60543. Please reference the project number or location in your written comment. To ensure comments can be provided to the hearing body in a timely manner, please submit written comments by noon the day of the public hearing.

Breybourne Cricket Stadium
For progress on the approved Breybourne Cricket Stadium project, visit the Cricket Stadium webpage.
On November 7, the Oswego Village Board approved the Special Use Permit and Planned Unit Development to allow for a cricket pitch, stadium, restaurant and hotel referred to as the Breybourne Cricket Stadium. The vote approved a special use permit and the final PUD for first phase of the project.
The Village Board’s approval includes a Special Use Permit to allow for an outdoor cricket stadium with a restaurant and a hotel; Preliminary PUD for Phases II, III, IV, Future Phase, restaurant and hotel; and Final PUD for Phase I. Each subsequent phase, the restaurant, and hotel will be required to return for staff review, as well as to PZC and Village Board for review and approval.
