Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Enterprise Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic Information Technology team. Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting all enterprise applications across the organization. This role involves ensuring optimal performance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, handling user support requests, and leading the integration of software solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • ERP Management: Serve as the subject matter expert for the Village’s ERP platform, overseeing vendor relations, product maintenance (upgrades, patching), and staff training.
  • User Support: Address and resolve application and software issues reported by end-users.
  • Liaison Role: Act as the main contact between application users and vendors to report issues, manage service requests, and coordinate resources.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with the IT Director to develop and monitor IT and ERP budgets. Recommend new technology solutions that align with the Village’s strategic goals and available resources.
  • Performance Maintenance: Ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of all new and existing enterprise applications.
  • Cross-Training: Gain knowledge of all technology systems within the department to provide seamless support.
  • Training and Consultation: Offer guidance and training to staff on ERP best practices and system usage to promote consistency.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the IT Director to create plans for current and future ERP system needs, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of the latest trends in ERP systems and related cyber threats to recommend proactive measures and implement improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED plus five or more years of experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. A combination of education and experience that ensures successful performance in this role will be considered. Prior experience supporting Tyler Technologies ERP is preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Certified Public Sector Data Governance Professional (PSDGP) or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, ERP software, document management systems, and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Problem Solving: Strong ability to develop methods and procedures, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and follow through effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and within a team, build relationships, and effectively present ideas and concepts.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits are offered. Salary range is $79,535 to $112,940, DOQ. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, IMRF pension plan participation, paid time-off, and more!  Position is regular daytime hours, with some evening and weekend work based on Village needs.
