The Village's suggested trick-or-treating hours are 3:30-8 p.m. 

Here are a few steps parents and guardians can take to ensure their children’s safety.

• Ensure children trick-or-treat only during this time frame.
• Be safe and only visit homes with front door lights on.
• Make sure masks do not block children’s front and side vision.
• If you are trick-or-treating after dark, use reflective tape on costumes and carry a flashlight.
• Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult while out.
• Know the routes that older, unaccompanied children are planning to take and set a time for them to be home.
• Children should go out in groups rather than by themselves.
• Examine the treats you children have collected. While tampering with Halloween treats is rare, be vigilant for any unusual packaging.
