Child Safety Seat Check

  • Introduction: Over 90% of child car seats are installed or used incorrectly. Proper use of a child restraint can lower a child’s risk of injury or death in most car crashes.
    Join us on Saturday, Sept. 17 and have a certified technician check your child's seat and provide additional safety instructions.

The Oswego Police Department along with the Oswego Fire Protection District and the Kendall County Sheriff's Department are conducting free child safety seat checks, sponsored by AutoSmart, Inc. in Oswego.

WHAT: Child Safety Seat Check

WHEN: Saturday, September 17, 2022

TIME: 9AM - 1PM

WHERE: (Oswego Fire District, Central Station #1, 3511 Woolley Rd.  Oswego

WHY: Over 90% of child car seats are installed or used incorrectly. Proper use of a child restraint can lower a child’s risk of injury or death in most car crashes.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will instruct parent and caregivers on the proper use and installation of child restraints. This is a first come, first served event and cut off will be at 1 p.m.
