Overnight On-street Parking Ban

Village ordinance prohibits parking on all streets in the Village of Oswego, except some specific locations in the Hometown subdivision and historic residential streets downtown, between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Read the parking ordinance

The Village offers both temporary and permanent overnight parking exemptions for residents who do not have enough space in their garage or driveways to store vehicles. Click below on the blue banners to learn more and apply for an exemption.

Downtown Garage Overnight Parking Permits

As of April 2021, the Village of Oswego operates a free public parking garage in downtown Oswego, in the bottom levels of The Reserve at Hudson Crossing, with entrances on Harrison Street (lower level) and Adams Street (upper level). These garages are free for the public to use while shopping and dining in downtown Oswego from 5 a.m. until 2 a.m. daily.

Downtown Oswego residents may purchase overnight parking permits to park a vehicle in the garage overnight between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Permits are $600 annually and residents may apply and pay for permits online using the Downtown Garage Parking Permit Application

School Day Zone Parking Permits

In an effort to alleviate parking concerns and ensure Oswego residents have adequate parking during school hours, the Village has determined it is in the best interest of its residents to restrict parking during school days on certain streets within the Village. Permits are $400 annually and residents may apply and pay for permits online at the School Day Zone Parking page.
