Code Enforcement
The Code Compliance Division of the Village of Oswego is concerned with four major objectives: public health and safety, education, public service, and community appearance.
The division ensures that all environmental nuisances in residential and commercial neighborhoods are eliminated and that substandard and deteriorated structures become compliant with minimum property maintenance code requirements.
Officers address items such as high weeds, deteriorated houses, unlicensed or inoperable cars, storage of recreational vehicles, yard maintenance, outdoor storage, domestic animals, and illegal signage.
Mission
To provide public service to all people within the Village of Oswego with respect, fairness, and integrity; to provide professional code and ordinance administration and enforcement with the highest standards of performance and ethics; and to work cooperatively with the Village of Oswego's diverse citizenry and neighborhood groups to establish confidence in the equality of life in established neighborhoods.
